Wooden Nickel Pub: Your Cozy Destination for Great Food and Drinks in Valdosta

I recently visited the Wooden Nickel Pub at 3269 Inner Perimeter Rd, in Valdosta, GA. I went there once and have been back to the Wooden Nickel several times. Nice parking, and when I sit at the bar I am greeted and my drink order taken timely..The bartenders have provided good information on specials and the food has been great. A good place to go!

Bar service was great greeted and served promptly by Alexa The fried mushrooms were great. Hubby liked his wings teriyaki & Garlic parm. My Cesar Salad lacked cheese and The dressing wasn’t the best. The cold drafts were perfect.

New to the area, and still trying things out. Came out for date night. Great place to bring the kids. I ordered a red sangria and bacon cheddar fries to start. Sangria was good and the fries were OK. I prefer melted, goopy cheese and it was like they may have set for a minute. Hubby ordered the chicken salad salad and was very happy with it. I ordered their taco salad. Not a traditional taco salad, greens, chili with beans, cheese, and tomatoes, with salsa and taziki sauce on the side. Looked like a flour tortilla, which because of gluten intolerance I didn't eat, but the rest of the salad was good. We ordered food to go, a club for my husband and a cauliflower crust pizza. Our orders came out quick and our server was responsive.

I love this place. Cool atmosphere, friendly and easy going staff, and the food is great. Small but good tap list that rotates regularly. Small liquor selection, but they cover the basics. Food is pretty wide ranging: salads, sandwiches, pizzas, wings, and burgers. Kinda typical bar food, but done very well. They also have a specials menu that has 4-6 things and it changes every week or two. Staff are friendly, but in a very laid back, come as you are, and non-pushy way. Definitely a favorite of mine in the Valdosta area.

One of my fave spots to eat in Valdosta! Especially for lunch! The waitstaff is always friendly and efficient, and drinks/food arrive quickly. Everything I've ever ordered has been great, but my faves are the red sangria, fried mushrooms, the gyro, and the camelback. Highly recommend!

My family got to visit the Wooden Nickel Pub and we were pleasantly impressed! Had a party of six with two kiddos. Samuel W was our server and he is fantastic. Being first time he made great suggestions and made sure our appetizers and kiddos food came out quickly along with our drinks. The burger, wings and wrap was cooked perfectly. My burger was one of the best medium cooked burgers in along time. Samuel W ( server) made the early dining experience 5 star!!!! Thank y’all for serving my family we will be back.
